In the morning of July 10, Lin Bin, Secretary of the CPC Zhenhai District Committee, inspected the intrinsic safety of the Zhenhai Port Area and the progress of the "Thousand Projects, Trillion Investment" initiative. He emphasized the need to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important directives on production safety, strictly adhere to provincial and municipal deployment requirements, continuously enhance the intrinsic safety level of the port area, and accelerate the construction of major projects to inject strong momentum into the high-quality economic and social development of the district. District leaders, including Qian Rong and Lin Huiyu, participated in the event.
Lin Bin and his delegation entered the chemical zone of the Zhenhai Port Area to gain a detailed understanding of technological upgrades and enhanced control capabilities. He stressed the need to remain vigilant at all times, uphold the highest standards and strictest requirements to fortify every line of defense in production safety, and ensure the port area operates without fail.
Subsequently, Lin Bin chaired a symposium to hear work reports from relevant units. The Ningbo Zhenhai Port Co., Ltd. reported on production and operations; the Zhenhai District Construction and Transportation Bureau reported on intrinsic safety efforts in the port area, and the Zhongpu Investment Holding Group provided updates on the Phase I progress of the bulk commodity storage and transportation facility upgrade project in the Zhenhai Port Area of Ningbo Zhoushan Port. Other functional departments, including the Zhenhai District Development and Reform Bureau, the Zhenhai District Natural Resources and Planning Branch, the Zhenhai District Ecological Environment Branch, and the Zhaobaoshan Subdistrict, also shared their insights.
After affirming the phased achievements in related work, Lin Bin noted that the Ningbo Zhoushan Port is a core hub serving national strategies and is inseparable from Zhenhai’s development. He emphasized the need for long-term thinking and stronger planning guidance. From a strategic perspective that balances development and safety, the port area’s development requires forward-looking and systematic planning, with continuous optimization of management models and operational mechanisms to chart a clear path for coordinated growth. He stressed focusing on core competitiveness by enhancing intrinsic safety, operational stability, and fostering new productive forces. Increased investment in key areas is essential to plan and advance major projects with high quality and standards, ensuring precise and effective resource allocation for maximum benefits. Goal-oriented and problem-solving approaches should guide scientific prioritization, with unwavering efforts to implement tasks optimally at every stage. All departments must further align their thinking, strengthen collaboration, and jointly support the Zhenhai Port Area in achieving higher-quality development.
