On July 8, it’s learnt from the Zhenhai District Economic and Information Technology Bureau that the preliminary review results of the 10th "Maker in China" Zhenhai District SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition have been released, with 16 projects advancing to the district-level preliminaries.

Since its launch, this year's competition has attracted active participation from numerous technology enterprises within the Zhenhai District and entrepreneurial teams from outside the district, receiving a total of 104 valid registered projects, out of which 73 in the enterprise group and 31 in the startup group. "The competing projects cover industrial fields such as new materials, intelligent equipment, artificial intelligence and robotics, and next-generation information technology," said a relevant official from the Zhenhai District Economic and Information Technology Bureau.

During the preliminary review stage, the competition committee invited 5 expert judges to form a panel. They conducted comprehensive and detailed evaluations and scoring of the projects based on key dimensions such as innovation, technical feasibility, market potential, and social value. After rigorous screening and comprehensive consideration, 16 high-quality forward-looking projects with developmental potential were selected to advance to the Zhenhai District preliminaries, based on their rankings.

The Ningbo Yiktong Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. stood out with its "High-Speed, High-Precision Fully Automatic Solder Paste Printer" project, successfully advancing to the district preliminaries. The company is a high-tech enterprise incubated by the Ningbo Intelligent Equipment Research Institute, specializing in the R&D, production, and sales of high-end electronic manufacturing equipment, such as high-speed, high-precision solder paste printers, and their upstream and downstream industrial chain equipment. "Our independently developed high-speed, high-precision solder paste printer has already served over 200 companies, including the Dooya Electromechanical, within and outside the district. It is widely used in dozens of industries such as communications, instruments, and automotive electronics, bringing significant social and economic benefits to the industrial chain," said Yu Xinghu, General Manager of the Yiktong Technology.

As an annual grand event for makers to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, and realize industrial dreams, the "Maker in China" Zhenhai District SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has been successfully held for multiple sessions. "For the next step, we will organize professional teams to conduct field visits and research for the shortlisted projects, providing 'one-on-one' targeted services to enterprises. We aim to further enhance the market competitiveness and potential of these projects through the competition and showcase the value of outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives," said a relevant official from the Zhenhai District Economic and Information Technology Bureau.
