Recently, the Ningbo Municipal Science and Technology Bureau announced the list of Ningbo's top 50 enterprises in R&D investment for 2024, with the Zhejiang Zhenyang Development Co., Ltd. from our district making the list.

Enterprises are the main drivers of innovation and a vital force in advancing creativity. "R&D investment is one of the key means for enterprises to enhance their core competitiveness and innovation capabilities," said a relevant official from the Zhenhai District Science and Technology Bureau. In recent years, R&D investment by enterprises in our district has continued to grow, with significant improvements in innovation quality, and the Zhenyang Development stands out as a prime example.

At the 3rd Ningbo Patent Innovation Competition, the Zhenyang Development won the silver award for its patented invention, "A High-Efficiency Continuous Deacidification Device for Chlorinated Plasticizers and Its Application Method".

Since the patent's implementation, the Zhenyang Development has reduced labor intensity by over 70% and increased the rate of premium-grade products by more than 5%, achieving remarkable green and economic benefits.

For years, the Zhenyang Development has spared no effort in R&D investment, consistently treating core technology and independent innovation as its lifeline, with a strong emphasis on technological innovation. To date, the company has accumulated over 130 patents, led or participated in the formulation of 16 industrial and group standards, and been included in the National Patent Industrialization Model Enterprise Cultivation Database.

A relevant official from the Zhenhai District Science and Technology Bureau said that the district will continue to leverage policy incentives, strengthen the role of enterprises as the mainstay of technological innovation, guide them to increase R&D investment, and continuously enhance independent innovation capabilities to achieve higher technical standards and market competitiveness, thereby driving high-quality economic and social development across the district.
