Recently, the Ningbo Municipal Economic and Information Technology Bureau released the list of model SMEs for digital transformation at the municipal level, and the Ningbo Conch New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. from our district is included on the list.

With a 30% increase in production efficiency, over 20% reduction in operational costs, more than 45% shortening of product R&D cycles, and over 24% decrease in energy consumption per unit output value… The Conch New Materials has achieved diversified benefits in green development, economic gains, and safety improvements through its "N+X" digital transformation project, which costs over 1.8 million yuan. The project has gradually enabled functions such as personnel positioning, energy consumption management, and intelligent inspections and so on.

Intelligent inspections are effectively enhancing the company's safety production management.

"Through explosion-proof handheld terminals integrated with 5G technology, the system allows management to set inspection routes, standards, and operational procedures. Workers automatically receive inspection tasks via smart inspection terminals," said a relevant person in charge from the Conch New Materials.

Meanwhile, the system ensures inspectors complete data collection at specified times, locations, and requirements, while real-time information such as on-site conditions, inspection results, and incident records is transmitted back to the management platform.

For personnel positioning, Bluetooth-based technology is employed. By deploying a number of positioning base stations across the facility, the system precisely tracks the locations of personnel, vehicles, and materials. Integrated with a personnel positioning management platform, it enables functions such as safety zone control, workforce dispatching, and real-time trajectory monitoring, thereby enhancing the safety of personnel and materials.

An official from the Zhenhai District Economic and Information Technology Bureau stated that the district will strengthen guidance and provide services for selected enterprises, fully leveraging the exemplary role of model companies in driving digital transformation across the industry. This will accelerate the "learning and emulating" process among SMEs in digital transformation and advance new industrialization efforts.
