On March 4, the Jiulong Lake Red Peony International Home held a themed activity to commemorate Comrade Lei Feng, bringing together friends and volunteers from home and abroad to draw peonies and write calligraphy, showing the spirit of peace and friendship across regions and races.

At the event, Jiang Hongsheng, Head of the Red Peony International Volunteer Group, and Helena, an international friend, taught foreign friends, local villagers, and students from the International College of Ningbo University and the Chongzheng Primary School to draw peonies together. With the help of Chinese and foreign volunteers, foreign friends from over 10 different countries wrote words in English, Russian, Bengali, Indic, and Laotian but with the same meaning: "Learn from Lei Feng" and "Always Help Others". Different languages on the same paper carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng for a new era.

"After 60 years of reviewing Comrade Lei Feng's spirit, it is still fresh. Our Red Peony International Volunteer Group has participated in 'learning from Lei Feng' volunteer service activities for 10 years. We have combined this great spirit into our daily volunteer activities. In the coastal open and civilized city of Ningbo, let's publicize the Lei Feng's spirit to the world and let the world filled with love and warmth." The words and paintings of the people present all reveal their affirmation and praise of the Lei Feng's spirit. "Lei Feng's spirit is the wealth of mankind, and Lei Feng is an outstanding figure for us to learn from. I think when I participate in providing voluntary services, I am learning from him and developing the spirit of helping others." Helena, an international friend, said.
