The List of “Top 30 Chemical Industrial Parks in China 2020” was released by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation at the “China Chemical Industrial Park & Industrial Development Forum 2020” held in Zhangzhou, Fujian. Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone ranks the second on the very List. As is learnt, this is the fourth consecutive year that the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone ranks among the top 3 on the List.

The List of “Top 30 Chemical Industrial Parks in China 2020” was released after a comprehensive analysis of the industrial economy, infrastructure, ecological environment and resource utilization, safety emergency response and public awareness, park management and innovation ability and integration of industrialization and information technologies was finished. The top 30 parks selected this time represent the highest level of development of domestic chemical industrial parks with strong industrial foundation, strong profitability, perfect infrastructure, and intensive land use and so on.

As a national economic and technological development zone, the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone has been awarded as a national recycling transformation demonstration pilot park, and got itself among the first batch of green parks in China. At present, the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone has 1 enterprise with an annual output value of more than 100 billion yuan, 2 enterprises with an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan each, and 13 enterprises with an annual output value of more than 1 billion yuan respectively.

In recent years, the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone has been adhering to the goal of “building green petrochemical and developing an ecological park”, actively promoting the green and high-quality development of the petrochemical industry, and maintaining a good momentum of economic development. In 2019, the Ningbo Petrochemical Economic & Technological Development Zone realized a total industrial output value of enterprises above designated scale of 195.8 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 2.57%; industrial added value of enterprises above designated scale 53.7 billion yuan, increased by 9% year on year.
