On June 14, in the Red Cross Life Education Experience Base of the Zhenhai District, representatives of entrepreneur members of the Grassroots Committee in the Zhenhai District, accompanied by the Red Cross Society of Zhenhai District, visited the AED (automatic external defibrillator) delivery points located in the Grand Theater, library and other places of Zhenhai District.
At the scene, representatives of entrepreneur members of the China National Democratic Construction Association's Grassroots Committee in the Zhenhai District also learnt and experienced emergency rescue knowledge, cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills and the use of AED in the Red Cross Life Education Experience Base, and had a discussion and exchanges on caring donation in the base.
It is reported that in 2018, under the leadership and initiative of Chen Tianyun, Former Chairman of the General Branch of the China National Democratic Construction Association in Zhenhai and the Chairman of the Ningbo Tianyi Shipping Co., Ltd., the then General Branch of the China National Democratic Construction Association in Zhenhai raised funds to set up a charity fund of "Together for Caring and Rescue", which was specially used for AED public welfare projects in the Zhenhai District.
Up till now, a total of 600,000 yuan has been invested through the fund and donated by the entrepreneur members of the China National Democratic Construction Association. A total of 23 AEDs have been installed in elderly activity centers, schools, farm food markets, business circles, tourist scenic spots, sports centers, etc..
"At present, the Red Cross Societies of the whole district have equipped 79 AEDs in crowded public places, of which 23 are installed with the investment of the China National Democratic Construction Association. In 2022, we plan to use the special fund of the China National Democratic Construction Association to install 7 new AEDs in places that are currently under site selection." A relevant person in charge of the Zhenhai District Red Cross Society said.
"Starting from this event, the Grassroots Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association has strengthened cooperation with the District Red Cross Society, continued to play the role of AED charity fund and to promote AED public welfare projects. At the same time, it gave full play to the advantages of entrepreneur members, encouraged and guided entrepreneur members to actively contribute to the society and actively participate in public welfare activities." A relevant person in charge of the Grassroots Committee of the China National Democratic Construction Association in Zhenhai said.
AED is called a life-saving artifact for rescuing patients with sudden cardiac arrest. "For the next step, we will continue to do a good job in the maintenance and regular inspection of AEDs, and manage, protect and make good use of these equipment. We also call on more caring enterprises to join the donation team, give full play to the 'save around' rescue function to save more lives." A relevant person in charge of the Zhenhai District Red Cross Society said.
