In recent days, at the Ningbo Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Conference, the Zhenhai District won the title of “National Agricultural Product Quality and Safety District”, manifesting that the quality and safety level of agricultural products in the district has been significantly improved.

As is learnt, since the successful establishment of a provincial agricultural product quality and safety district in 2017, focusing on following national standards, adhering to simultaneous development of “production” and “management”, and taking the “Four Strictest” requirements of the most rigorous standard, the most stringent supervision, the most serious accountability and the most severe punishment as the requirements, the Zhenhai District has developed 4 systems of joint quality control, one certificate and one code, social co-governance and brand support, systematically improving the quality and safety supervision level of agricultural products in the district.

Since early this year, according to the Three-year Action Plan for “Rule Violation, Controlling Illegal Drugs and Promotion” of Edible Agricultural Products, Zhenhai has carried out basic investigation, hidden danger investigation and special rectification, focusing on major products of chives, cowpea and poultry and eggs, so as to further improve the quality and safety risk control level of agricultural products. Up till now, Zhenhai has cooperated well in monitoring more than 150 batches of major agricultural products at the municipal, provincial and ministry levels, quantitatively tested 230 batches of local agricultural products at the district level, and dispatched nearly 300 law enforcement person times to inspect more than 100 production and business units. The overall qualified rate is more than 98%, and the test results have been publicized; meanwhile, do a good job in the tracing disposal of unqualified products, supervise case filing and review of unqualified sampling inspection, and publicity as well.

For the next step, Zhenhai will exert efforts in exploration of quality and safety traceability certificate of agricultural products, and realize the whole process traceability of agricultural products from origin to dining tables by digital means.
