The Spring Festival is around the corner. In order to create a clean, hygienic, civilized and orderly festival environment and help prevent and control the epidemic situation in winter and coming spring, the Zhenhai District recently actively responded to the call of the Ningbo Municipal Office for Health Popularization and the Ningbo Municipal Office of Civilization, and launched a special patriotic health environment promotion activity with the theme of "welcome the New Year with a Clean, Healthy and Civilized Environment". The activity is to last a week.

In order to create a clean, hygienic, civilized and orderly festival environment and help prevent and control the epidemic situation in winter and spring, our district recently actively responded to the call of the Municipal Office of loving health and the Municipal Office of civilization, and launched a special patriotic health environment promotion concentrated action with the theme of "welcome the new year with a clean, healthy and civilized environment".

Since January 30, six towns (sub-districts) in the district have been interacting with each other and 91 villages (communities) have been working together to launch an Environmental Improvement Week. This activity focused on environmental improvement, vector control and health care education, and fully mobilized government cadres, community volunteers and village residents to participate in the work of improving surrounding small-scale environment.

According to statistics, more than 3,200 people from 91 villages (communities) in the district participated in the activity on that day, cleaning up more than 120 tons of garbage and 2,000 small illegal advertisements. On the same day, a professional vector company was called to carry out the action of eliminating four kinds of pests in winter and spring. More than 800 households were given guidance; 60,000 square meters of external environment were disinfected and sterilized; epidemic prevention and control publicity activities were carried out. More than 600 banners were hung in the whole district, and over 4,000 publicity materials were distributed to the doors of residents. Meanwhile, the Zhenhai District Office for Health Popularization also publicized epidemic prevention and control knowledge on 147 LED screens, taxis and bus stops in the district, so as to achieve full coverage of health education.

On January 30, Luotuo Sub-district, together with urban management, market supervision and other functional departments, carried out centralized management of the public environment around the Luotuo Farm Product Market, inspected the hygiene and cleanliness of restaurants, and carried out household publicity on health and disease prevention for nearby residents and five small-scale industries. The Lianqing Community, where the sub-district’s new era civilization practice station and the farm food market are located, also organized volunteers to widely participate in the activity. They cleaned the sidewalks, green belts and other places, cleared "psoriasis advertising" on telegraph poles and billboards, called on residents to develop good and healthy habits and lifestyles, and use "small habits" to keep the "big health" and build a strong epidemic prevention and control system.

For the next step, all towns (sub-districts) will take this opportunity to continue to consolidate the long-term mechanism of environmental improvement. The District Bureau of Commerce, Market Regulatory Bureau, and Culture, Radio, Tourism and Sports Bureau and so on will continue to carry out environmental improvement actions in key places in the week to build a "large-scale defense line" for epidemic prevention and control.
