Now our platform has its own ‘ID Card’.” The working staff of counter of the urban-rural development and transportation committee in the Zhenhai District Administration Service Center issued an “online road freight transport business license” to the Zhejiang Yichen Logistics Science and Technology Company Limited. This is the first “online freight transportation” business license issued in the Zhenhai District since the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China and the State Taxation Administration issued the Interim Measures for the Operation and Management of Road Freight Transportation of Online Platforms on January 1, 2020, manifesting that the road freight industry in the Zhenhai District has entered the new era of “internet plus freight transportation”.

Different from traditional logistics, online freight transportation is a kind of road freight transportation business activity which relies on the internet platform to integrate and allocate transportation resources, sign transportation service contracts with the shipper as the carrier, entrusting the actual carrier to complete the road freight transportation and undertaking the responsibility of the carrier.

As is learnt, the Zhejiang Yichen Logistics Science and Technology Co., Ltd., settled down in the Dongwei Building – Shichuang E-commerce Park in the kernel urban area of the Zhenhai District in 2016, is a unicorn enterprise in the field of logistics ecology. Based on the pilot work that had been done on vehicle free transportation, the company took the lead in applying for the online freight operation. Upon the successful joint debugging and testing of municipal information monitoring platform, the Ningbo Municipal Transportation Bureau recognized the company’s online service capacity as qualified since all qualifications met the requirements. Therefore, the company becomes the first enterprise in the Zhenhai District to obtain online freight transportation business qualification.

The App of “Lingdanbao”, developed by the company independently, is the first of its kind in the less-than-carload freight field in China, just like the “Didi” for passenger transportation. This very App aims at developing a national service platform for shippers and dedicated lines, relying on “internet technologies plus logistics supply chains”, getting through the settlement system between carriers and shippers, integrating social scattered freight vehicles, and helping logistics enterprises find logistics products and derivative services they need in a simpler, quicker and more efficient way through the platform. “This platform can effectively solve the original operation mode of logistics personnel, and can grasp the source of less than carload goods at any time when needed, ensure the priority of urgent goods and stowage rate, improve the operation efficiency and reduce logistics cost.” The person in charge of the company said.
