In recent days, Ningbo has put forth high standards for striving to be entitled as a national civilized city for 6 consecutive years, i.e., to develop demonstration areas with clean ground where people could “sit on” in 20 “urban living rooms” in parks, business districts and scenic spots in Ningbo till the end of this year, and 100 high quality demonstration areas of its kind till Year 2022, out of which 2 are located in Zhenhai.

The most popular understanding of developing “urban living rooms” where you could “sit on the ground” is that you can sit on the ground within the demonstration areas anytime and anywhere and meanwhile your trousers would not get dirty. According to the standard of developing demonstration urban living rooms with clean ground where you could “sit on”, we should make sure that “urban living rooms” have no dead end corner in public areas, no dust on the ground and road, no stain on urban furniture, clean water without garbage, frequent road cleaning and charming green belt and landscape.

The river-side landscape belt in Zhenhai is one of the demonstration areas. “Now, we go to work at 6 a.m. every day, and we have specially purchased high-pressure water trucks to clean roads, park seats, marble landscape, etc.. We would also wipe them twice a day, contributing our efforts to striving to be entitled as a national civilized city of Ningbo for 6 consecutive years.” Chen Haida, the person in charge of the Zhenhai District Landscaping Maintenance Center.

A representative of the Zhenhai District Comprehensive Administration & Law Enforcement Bureau said that the demonstration urban living room with clean ground where you could sit on along the river-side landscape belt covers about 30,000 square meters, and that the purpose of developing an “urban living room” in Zhenhai is to provide local residents with a favorable environment for living, leisure activities and entertainment.
