The Mobilization Meeting for the Development of National Pilot Modern Standard Sports Communities (Villages) was held lately in Ningbo, releasing the lists of units undertaking pilot projects and pilot communities (villages). The Wanshixu Village in the Zhuangshi Sub-district, one of the 9 selected communities (villages) in Ningbo and the only one community (village) in Zhenhai for the list, will take the lead for pilot development.

This year, Ningbo has been approved to undertake the pilot project of developing modern standard sports communities (villages) thanks to its good foundation of sports construction. Meanwhile, the project undertakers are the Ningbo National Fitness Guidance Center and the Ningbo Sports Service Standardization Technical Committee.

The pilot project will last for 2 years. The goal of the pilot project is to improve the community (village) sports venues and facilities, improve sports social organization, present rich and colorful sports events, integrate the construction of smart venues, provide intelligent services, provide scientific fitness guidance as a normal practice according to the future community requirements for fitness, invite a wide range of people participate in physical exercises, and maintain the health quality of local residents at a high level and increase year by year. Sports will play a positive role in promoting the overall development of the local economy, society and the mass public.

As is learnt, through this pilot project, while completing the pilot project of developing modern standard sports communities (villages) with high standards, Ningbo will realize the formation of a reproducible and popularized the construction mode of modern standard sports communities (villages), and take the lead in the development direction of sports modernization.
